It has finally happened it seems. For everyone who has ever purchased Onaholes or other stuff from Japan, shipping costs have always been a pain in the ass and depending on where in the world you livem they can really add up quite fast, specially when buying heavy or large stuff.
There had been a few examples of shops in the past, such as the now closed EcchiTokyo, who have offered Free Shipping under certain conditions. The catch however always was that the prices had been so inflated that it was obvious to the experienced user that they simply added shipping on top of every product which in fact just moved the shipping charges to the product price, leaving you with actually paying the same.
Long running Japanese retailer otonaJP has now seemingly figure out a solution. Since about 2 weeks ago as of the time of this writing, they are offering Free Shipping for all orders of $300 or more and while we do not know if this is a permanent thing or not, it seems that it is. Most importantly also, their prices remain unchanged, meaning there was no secret price hike before introducing the Free shipping.
Yes sure, $300 do sound like a lot but I personally have found myself often in the situaiton of adding a new Hip onahole to my cart for $150 or so and then having another $120 for shipping when reaching checkout. Considering this, I much rather choose more toys and in fact getting more stuff for my money instead of just paying shipping.
While otonaJP sponsors this blog and has send us various toys for free over the last years, I have tried out there new Free shipping service and it was delivered with DHL Express. I got so much more for my money than I would have gotten usually and comparing them now with other Onahole retailers, their offerings are even better than before and are feeling pretty much unbeatable.
While otonaJP is my personal go to place, out of curiosity I have purchased stuff from every store I know off over the past years and when checking out Reddit, 4chan or any other place where it seems that people made it their life goal to complain, shipping costs have always been on the top of their list. If otonaJP really did figure out ho to tackle this issue, I think they have done the Onahole fan community such a huge service and over night simplified how we buy Onaholes and Hentai stuff from Japan.
